Dallas Clouatre, Ph.D. earned his A.B. from Stanford and his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. A member of the American College of Nutrition, he co-authored Tocotrienols: Vitamin E Beyond Tocopherols to be published in September and also the Encyclopedia Of Dietary Supplements. His articles have appeared in Toxicology Letters, Heart Disease and other medical journals as well as several books.

Renee Jones, 44 years old, grew up in Colorado and has been running most of her life. Trail running is her ultimate stress reliever. 2008 marks her third year running Pikes Peak. In 2007 she placed 5th in her age group after they had split off the Overall and Masters winners. This year was especially challenging because she also ran in the Arctic. Renee has done the Mt. Evans Ascent three times, with the uphills without the down being her forte. Next up is the Outward Bound Relay on September 12, where a team of 10 covers 174 miles over 24 hours. This will be her 4th relay. She is also planning to complete the 14ers, as she loves being above timberline!
